Hi! I’m Norman Schillawski. I am a photographer living in Cicero, NY (just outside of Syracuse, NY). I live for the challenge to create, to grow as a person, and to inspire others.
My first moment of photography was watching a latent image appear in a darkroom when I was a youngster. I was hooked. I dabbed for years in photography, photographing families, and weddings. In the early years of digital I fell in love again with the beauty of nature.
I grew up on a dairy farm. I experienced the good, and the bad of nature. I fell in love with being outside wandering the fields and roadsides around the farm.
At first my landscape photos were nice (that’s a photographer’s word for they suck really). Until, I met a photographer, Tom at an Art Show. His viewpoint made me reexamine myself and my photography.
My approach changed.
My intent became a mission to make images that bring you the beauty of the world. My challenge everyday is to make one photograph better than all the rest.
Fine Art Photography
On my treks in the outdoors, my challenge is to make a fine art photograph that inspires you. But, I know that choosing the right image is much more personal.
You want a great photograph that also fits over the sofa or in a corner by the window. It needs to be complementary to your other art pieces. You want a piece that sets a particular mood in your office or one that will start a conversation at dinner.
I provide flexible framing and size options so you can make match your home or office decor. Your fine art photograph is special and you will enjoy it for years to come.
Many times I’m asked about where or how or what about my beautiful photographs. Now, you can learn first hand what was going on and the story behind the beautiful photograph.
